In Japan where its football season starts in spring and ends in autumn, the coming of autumn means the start of the influx of rumors. On its yesterday and today’s edition, Sports Nippon revealed that Ulsan Hyundai’s Yoon Jong-Hwan is on the list of potential managers for Cerezo Osaka.
Yoon, a former Cerezo Osaka midfielder who is well-known for his contribution in establishing Sagan Tosu as a J1 club, has taken charge of the South Korean club since 2015.
According to Sports Nippon, a Cerezo official admitted that they have been considering him as a possible candidate for next season and made contact with his side. They are currently preparing a formal offer for Yoon who was also considered as a candidate two years ago.
However, it is rather doubtful whether he will decide to accept an offer (if made) and leave the club which have been doing well in the league so far (currently in the 3rd place).
