K League Classic side Ulsan Hyundai have announced that they have reached an agreement with their manager Yoon Jong-Hwan not to extend his contract which was expected to end at the end of the season.

“We negotiated with Yoon Jong-Hwan for a contract extension after the season was completed, but we failed to reach an agreement,” Ulsan revealed on their official website. “Yoon also reviewed offers from foreign clubs and decided not to renew the contract with us.”

According to reports so far, Chinese second division club Beijing Enterprises Group FC are also interested in signing with the 43-year-old.

In Japan, Kyodo News, one of Japan’s biggest news agencies, reported that Yoon is very likely to be appointed as new manager for Cerezo Osaka yesterday. In that article, manager/GM Kiyoshi Okuma admitted they had negotiations on Saturday and said “we still need to work out the details, but we are negotiating believing that he will accept our offer. We want to finalize soon.”
