Kota Mizunuma out for 4 weeks

Posted at — Feb 28, 2017

Cerezo Osaka today announced that Kota Mizunuma will be out for 4 weeks due to a right hamstring injury he suffered in the season’s opening game against Jubilo Iwata.

The 27-year-old midfielder has joined from FC Tokyo this season and experienced the first match for Cerezo Osaka last Saturday, but he had to come off the pitch in the 49th minute.

Mitsuru Maruoka, who replaced him in the Jubilo Iwata game, may be likely to fill in his position this weekend, while Takaki Fukumitsu is also eager to take it after he scored 2 goals in a training match against Kansai Student Selections on Sunday. Putting Yoichiro Kakitani on the left side and Ricardo Santos, who marked a hat trick in that game, at forward may also be an option.
