Friendly with Sevilla FC announced

Posted at — May 16, 2017

Cerezo Osaka and Sevilla FC announced yesterday that they will have a friendly match with support from Cerezo official sponsor and a worldwide online ticketing company StubHub on July 17. This will be an opportunity for Hiroshi Kiyotake to see his former teammates again after he left Spain last winter.

The “StubHub World Match 2017” will be held as a part of the Meiji Yasuda J.League World Challenge 2017 in which J.League clubs invite world-class clubs to Japan to gain international experience and provide Japanese football fans with an opportunity to watch fascinating football games, according to a release from the league.

In the past, Cerezo played a friendly match with Manchester United, a team which former Cerezo player Shinji Kagawa then belonged to. The game, which made me start providing information about Cerezo in English, ended in 2-2 draw with Takumi Minamino scoring an amazing goal against the Red Devils.
