Some clubs are after Kenyu Sugimoto

Daily Sports reported today that some clubs including a European one were watching Cerezo striker Kenyu Sugimoto.

According to the Kobe-based sports newspaper, Spanish side Girona, the only name they mentioned in their article, are one of those clubs getting interested in him.

The news came one day after Sugimoto went up to the top of the goal ranking along with Urawa Reds forward Shinzo Koroki after scoring twice against Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo.

Daily Sports said there was no formal offer for the striker yet but Cerezo were determined to persuade him to stay. Spanish transfer window will close at midnight on September 1.
