It has been already almost confirmed that Bangkok Glass midfielder Chaowat Veerachat will join Cerezo Osaka on loan in the 2018 season, but the probability became even higher when he withdrew himself from the under-23 national team saying it was because Cerezo wanted him to do so, according to Goal.
Chaowat, 21-year-old midfielder from Chiang Mai, Thailand, started his professional career at Buriram United and joined Cerezo’s partner club Bangkok Glass on a four-year deal in 2017. Soon after he joined, he was chosen to visit Japan and train with Cerezo Osaka (Leftmost in the photo above). According to Soccerway, in the 2017 season, he played 25 games (out of 34 games) and scored 2 goals, one of which was selected as the best goal of the year in the league.
If this transfer is realized, he is likely to start his career in Japan at the U-23 team playing in the J3 League, where his fellow countryman Jakkit Wachpirom also plays. Although I don’t know much about Chaowat, if he plays in the central midfield, his main rival may be Masataka Nishimoto (who already made his debut for the first team and played a central part in the U-23 team appearing in 27 games last season) and Hinata Kida (who is still an academy player but played 16 games last season).
