The players will meet former Cerezo midfielder Shohei Kiyohara and loanee Honoya Shoji again on July 11.
Shohei Kiyohara had been with Cerezo since 2016 to 2017 and massively contributed to the team’s promotion to J1. Unfortunately, Kiyohara lost playing opportunity as Cerezo got promoted and performed well in J1, and moved to Tokushima Vortis on loan in July last year. After his loan spell with Tokushima ended, he joined his former side Zweigen Kanazawa on a full transfer this year.
Honoya Shoji, a 20-year-old center back, is currently playing on loan at Kanazawa. The young defender joined the top team from the academy in 2016 and had played at the U-23 team. He moved to Kanazawa on loan last year and the loan contract was extended for another year after making 22 appearances for the team. He has secured a regular spot at Kanazawa and played 16 games this season so far, all as a starter.
