According to Brazilian website Superesportes, Cerezo Osaka are interested in signing Atletico Mineiro forward Denilson on one-year loan, their Director of Football said in a radio interview.
Denilson just joined the team from Spanish side Granada four months ago but the club’s decision to sign a five-year contract with the 23-year-old has received criticism from supporters according to the website.
In the interview, Alexandre Gallo, the Brazilian club’s Director of Football and former FC Tokyo manager, said “to give you an idea, ten days ago, we received a visit from a representative of Cerezo Osaka here to take him at the end of the year on loan.”
Jean Carlo Witte, who played under Gallo at FC Tokyo in 2006, has seemingly worked as an agent or some kind of role like that for Cerezo Osaka. He posted a photo on Instagram in which he was standing beside Gallo last month.
