The Guardian published their selection of “Next Generation 2019: 60 of the best young talents in world football,” an annual series of promising player lists they started to make 5 years ago. This time, Japan-based English commentator Ben Mabley picked up Jun Nishikawa, who will officially join Cerezo Osaka next season but already made his debut for the club, from Japan. Also selected is Malaysia’s Luqman Hakim, who had a trial at Cerezo Osaka and was rumored to join but sealed a contract with Vincent Tan’s K.V. Kortrijk.
